I have done my SGPT,SGOT and Bilirubin test for Jaundice. SGPT value is 66 and all other tests are negative for Jaundice. None of my body part has turned yellow. I have fever from past 2 weeks and my doctor is suspecting that I have Jaundice.
Kindly suggest what could be the issue?

Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. SGPT of 66 is only mild elevation. 2. Drug induced or any minor infection of liver or fatty change can also lead to these values. This value usually does not present with jaundice. 3. At-least a 10 times elevation of SGOT enzyme is necessary for evaluation. Not to worry, once fever comes down, it will also come down. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
